Bombplate of the week: Cheryl LuQuire!

Fresh off of her multiple performances during CMA Fest 2013, we at Bombplates are proud to announce our Bombplate of the Week: Cheryl LuQuire!

We seem to be featuring a bunch of Country Artists lately, making sense considering we do live in the Music City…and CMA Fest 2013 just wrapped up…and a huge amount of our Bombplate users performed during it (woot, woot!)

Cheryl is a Nashville native, just like us, making it all the more fun for us to spotlight her. Even though her CMA Fest performances have passed, she’s still performing all over Nashville, gaining a following in the city that we share a love for. In fact, for you Nashvillians, she’s performing at Belcourt Taps and Tappas July 1st at 8pm! We’ll be there, will you?

Her music is described as pop country, the new meat-and-potatoes of Nashville. My personal preference would compare her vocals to Faith Hill and her band’s sound to Lady A. Go listen to her track Wild Mississippi. Don’t think about it, just do it right now. It’s so good; it made me think of Faith Hill immediately, which is what I’d think would be high praise to any female country singer.

LuQuire stands out among musicians comparable to her because she is a singer/songwriter meaning that she both writes and performs her music. The singer actually is a singer/songwriter for Sony/ATV Music Publishing. Her writing style is truly southern, which I think any country fan would enjoy.

Cheryl is definitely making a name for herself here in Nashville, as well as surrounding areas. She plays all over, so if you’re in the area I HIGHLY recommend checking her out!
